Kenneth Paul Kennedy, 73, of Norris City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Silver Foxes Living and Rehabilitation in McLeansboro, Illinois, He was born on November 21, 1951, in Carbondale, Illinois, the son of Paul R. and Jessie May (Henson) Kennedy. Kenneth worked above ground, cleaning coal mine equipment. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Norris City. Kenneth was a friend to everyone and loved to talk. He never met a stranger. He was a prayer warrior and never missed an opportunity to pray for whoever he met. Our community has lost a wonderful, God fearing man. He will be greatly missed.

Linda Marie Miles, 67, of Carmi, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro, Illinois. She was born on July 20, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Robert  A. and Eunice "Sue" (Davis) Miller. Linda married the love of her life,  Marvin J. Miles on December 26, 2011, and he preceded her in death on September 3, 2018. She was of the Christian faith. Linda enjoyed going on vacations and traveling with her husband. She also enjoyed playing board games, cards, going on hikes and watching the Voice. Most of all, Linda's greatest passion was her grandchildren.

Timothy Warren Berger, 74, of Carmi, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Premier Healthcare of New Harmony, in New Harmony, Indiana. He was born on October 6, 1950, in Evansville, IN the son of Clifford Warren and Virginia Lea (Hill) Berger. Tim married Karen Sue Kallenbach at the First Christian Church in Carmi on October 5, 1971, and she preceded him in death on August 14, 1992. He proudly served his country for 23 years in the United States Navy,  retiring as Chief Petty Officer. Tim then went on to work for the Illinois State Police for 16 years, retiring in 2012, as a dispatcher. He was a past president of the Cemetery Board for White County Memorial Garden in Carmi and most recently served as the Vice President. Tim was also a member of the Carmi Rifle Club.

Henry Lee Walker, 73, of Concord, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025. He was born on February 29, 1952, in Fairfield, Illinois, the son of George David and Nellie (Weasel) Walker.

Tony Kanik, 63 of McLeansboro, Il passed away May 21,2025 at his home. He was born March 26, 1962 to Pete and Wilma Kanik.

Wanda May Parson, 85 of St. John, Missouri, and formerly of Crossville, Illinois, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the home of her son surrounded by family. She was born on Thursday, February 29, 1940, in Albion, Illinois, a daughter of Harold and Ruth (Meredith) Nash.

Larry Joe Schmittler, 83 of Grayville, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2025. at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. He was born on Saturday, January 17, 1942, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, a son of Lawrence and Clarabell (Knowles) Schmittler.

Rose Marie Wilson, 90, of Grayville, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025. She was born on August 28, 1934, in Oxford, Kansas, the daughter of Noble and Melissa Jane (Faris) Witt. Rose married the love of her life, George Wilson on August 27, 1950. 

Harold Irvin Stinson, 84, of Carmi, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro, Illinois. He was born on October 31, 1940, the son of Edd and Melvina (Duvall) Stinson.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Cordell Michael Ray Rose, who left this world on Saturday, May 17, 2025.

Cordell was born on December 3, 2020, the son of James Paul Rose and Alyssa Nicole Drenckpohl.
