Donald R. White, 90, of Carmi, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He was born on October 7, 1934, in Burnt Prairie, Illinois, the son of Lehman and Gladys (Roser) White. Don married Margaret Rose Miller on October 4, 1963, and she preceded him in death on January 4, 2013.

Danny Ray Robinson, 72, of Carmi, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on December 31, 1952, in Minden, Louisiana, the son of Huey Gene and Wanda Jean (Fulton) Robinson. Dan married Claudetta Faye White on April 28, 1974, and she survives. He worked in the oilfield for a time, as well as at Grace Chemicals and then Raben tire until 1999. Dan then became the owner and operator of Dan's Tire in Carmi until he retired. He served on the Carmi fire department for 27 years. Dan was a member of the New Beginning Church of God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and competing in demolition derbies.

Charles Raymond Michels, 83, of Carmi, and formerly of Cowling, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Wabash Senior Living and Rehabilitation. He was born a son of Raymond Edward and Cora Louise (Simpson) Michels. On September 16, 1961, Charlie married Letha Marie Higginson in Mt. Carmel and together they shared more than 63 years of marriage before her passing on December 30, 2024.

Kenneth Paul Kennedy, 73, of Norris City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Silver Foxes Living and Rehabilitation in McLeansboro, Illinois, He was born on November 21, 1951, in Carbondale, Illinois, the son of Paul R. and Jessie May (Henson) Kennedy. Kenneth worked above ground, cleaning coal mine equipment. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Norris City. Kenneth was a friend to everyone and loved to talk. He never met a stranger. He was a prayer warrior and never missed an opportunity to pray for whoever he met. Our community has lost a wonderful, God fearing man. He will be greatly missed.

Linda Marie Miles, 67, of Carmi, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro, Illinois. She was born on July 20, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Robert A. and Eunice "Sue" (Davis) Miller. Linda married the love of her life, Marvin J. Miles on December 26, 2011, and he preceded her in death on September 3, 2018. She was of the Christian faith. Linda enjoyed going on vacations and traveling with her husband. She also enjoyed playing board games, cards, going on hikes and watching the Voice. Most of all, Linda's greatest passion was her grandchildren.

Timothy Warren Berger, 74, of Carmi, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Premier Healthcare of New Harmony, in New Harmony, Indiana. He was born on October 6, 1950, in Evansville, IN the son of Clifford Warren and Virginia Lea (Hill) Berger. Tim married Karen Sue Kallenbach at the First Christian Church in Carmi on October 5, 1971, and she preceded him in death on August 14, 1992. He proudly served his country for 23 years in the United States Navy, retiring as Chief Petty Officer. Tim then went on to work for the Illinois State Police for 16 years, retiring in 2012, as a dispatcher. He was a past president of the Cemetery Board for White County Memorial Garden in Carmi and most recently served as the Vice President. Tim was also a member of the Carmi Rifle Club.
