James Jerod Healy, 43, of Norris City passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville, IN. He was born on April 22, 1983 in Welborn Hospital in Evansville, IN the son of Jerry & Paula (O’Neal) Healy.

Martin Edward Simmons, 73, of McLeansboro, Illinois, formerly of White County, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Silver Foxes Senior Living & Rehabilitation Center in McLeansboro, IL.

   Billy Gene Horn, 89, of Enfield passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at Wabash Senior Living and Rehabilitation in Carmi. He was born on February 5, 1937 in Greenville, KY the son of Wilty and Ruby (Massey) Horn.

Kathy Little, 62, of McLeansboro, IL was born on July 9, 1963. She passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026 in McLeansboro.

Brian Thompson, 65, of Carmi passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN from complications from a fall. He was born on October 8, 1960 in Carmi, IL the son of Tony E. and Margaret Ann (Hosick) Thompson.

Albert Thomas Anselment, 93, of Dahlgren, IL passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor in Mt. Vernon, IL.  Albert was born on January 5, 1933, the son of Albert Peter & Aurelia (Roesch) Anselment.  On July 4th, 1960 in Piopolis, IL he married Patricia (Aydt) Anselment, who survives.

John David Turner, 60, of Carmi passed away on June 17, 2026 at his home in Carmi. He was born on November 22,1965 in Carmi the son of Edsel A. and Judy (Smith) Turner. John worked in the oil field, but most recently worked at Gottzz’s in Carmi. He enjoyed Mushroom hunting and loved being with his family and friends.

William E. “Bill” Cross, 82, of Belle Rive, passed away at 1:35 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at home, peacefully and surrounded by family who loved him dearly. He was born December 3, 1943 at home in the Middle Creek area of Dahlgren, Illinois, the son of Paul and Inez (Mangrum) Cross who preceded him in death.

Brenda Sue Jaques, 74, of Carmi, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehab, in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. She was born on November 22, 1951, in Fairfield, Illinois, the daughter of Roy D. and Margie (Felty) Smith.

Carolyn Sue Thomas,79, of Springerton passed away after a long, valiant battle with colon cancer on June 20, 2026 at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh, IN. She was born on April 16, 1947 in Crossville the daughter of Ulyess “Dude” and Lola Violet (Davis) Schalk.
