Rebecca (Given) Wilson, 87 of Charlottesville, Virginia passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024. She was born on Monday, October 18, 1937, a daughter of Harry and Nancy (Higginson) Given. Rebecca married Charles Wilson in Carmi, Illinois on October 25, 1956, and together they shared over 68 years of marriage.

     Mike Chapman, 65, of Norris City passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.  He was born in Carmi on September 3, 1959,  the son of Doyle Glenn and Betty (Downs) Chapman.  Mike drove a tanker truck  in the oil field. He loved being on the farm and helping his brother, and always wanting to know what they'd be working on.  Mike enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing and spending time with his dog, Lucky.

 Donna Marie (Aldrich) Hutchison, 78, of Carmi, departed for her heavenly home on Monday, May 12, 2025. She was born on December 12, 1946, in New Harmony, Indiana, the daughter of Ermil and Thelma M. (Davis) Aldrich.

Betty Jean Baker, 95, of Kuttawa, Kentucky, born July 10, 1929 to Arvil E. and Grace (Simmons) Hyatt in New Harmony, Indiana, went to heaven to join the Lord, Monday, May 12, 2025 at Riversbend Retirement Community in Kuttawa, Kentucky.

Richard Ellsworth Lasswell, 85 of McLeansboro, Illinois passed away Saturday May 10, 2025 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Richard was born on March 6, 1940 to Byron and Vineta (Pete) Lasswell in Walpole, Illinois.

       Sylvia Johnson, 78, of Norris City, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. She was born on March 10, 1947, in Norris City, Illinois, the daughter of Alva and Ruth (Duvall) Phillips. Sylvia worked various jobs throughout her life. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, antiquing and was very meticulous with her lawn. Sylvia loved spending time with her family and friends.
