Candace (Talley) Darnell, 76, of New Caney, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. She was born in Carmi, Illinois, on January 4, 1949, the daughter of Earl and Rosemary (Morris) Talley. 

 Devoted mother and grandmother, Ingrid Ginther, 83, of Carmi passed away at 4:16 p.m., on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Bethel Manor in Evansville, IN.  She was born in Munich, Germany on June 15, 1942 the daughter of Ernst and Else Mueller.

Clarita “Jo” Stainbrook, of Nokomis, FL, passed away peacefully in her beloved Casey Key home on September 30, 2025. A graveside service will be held in McLeansboro, IL, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Charles Lewis Stainbrook, and her parents.

Doris Jean "Nicky" Kuykendall, 84 of Crossville, Illinois, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Wabash General Hospital in Mount Carmel, Illinois. She was born on Tuesday, January 7, 1941, at home in Crossville, a daughter of Charles Albert "Bud" and Helen Varece (Higginson) Kuykendall.

David Wendell Stover 82, of McLeansboro, IL passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. David was born June 25, 1943 in McLeansboro. He was a son of Walter “Hub” Stover and Maud (Mezo) Stover.

Betty J. Newman, 94, of Carmi passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi. She was born in Evansville, IN on August 25, 1931, the daughter of Harry and Irene (Whisenhunt) Dillinger. Betty married Ralph Joseph Newman in March of 1973. She was a member of the New Beginnings Church of God. She loved to spend time with her friends and family.

Federico “Freddy” Lopez, 62, of Grayville, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in Henderson, Kentucky. He was born on Sunday, September 8, 1963, in Colimo, Mexico, the son of Reyes and Lucia (Alcaraz) Lopez. 

Joan (Frantz) Garner, formerly of rural Crossville, IL passed September 30, 2025, at 94 years. The youngest of four children, she was born January 28, 1931, to George A. and Edna Frantz of rural Arcola, IL.

Joy E. Boring, 68, of Carmi passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2025, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. She was born in Eldorado, IL on June 5, 1957 the daughter of James Marshall and Barbara Lou (Hudgins) Grisham.

Paul Everett Richards, 89, of Belle Rive, IL went to be with his savior on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Silver Foxes Senior Living & Rehabilitation Center in McLeansboro.
