Susie Campbell, 82, of Norris City passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. She was born on June 2, 1943 in McLeansboro, IL the daughter of Sidney Marion and Minnie Lee (Anderson) Kinsey. Susie married Bobbie “Bob” Joe Campbell on September 20, 1963 and they shared over 45 years of marriage together until his death on April 17, 2009. Susie’s main hobbies were reading and spending time with her son.

Stephen "Steve" B. Crow, age 80, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, in Goshen, Indiana. He was born on August 31, 1945, in Goshen, Indiana to Maurice B. and Thelma M. (Price) Crow. Steve was a lifelong resident of Syracuse, Indiana and in 2011 he began spending winters in Ft. Myers, Florida. He married Linda K. Robertson on June 21, 1963, in Syracuse, Indiana. She passed away on July 24, 2010.

Raymond Douglas “Doug” Stroud, 69, of Broughton, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at 12:34 a.m. at his home.  He was born December 7, 1956 in St. Joseph, MO to James and Mary Stroud. 

Mike Lee Jacobs, 71, of McLeansboro, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.  He was born in McLeansboro on July 14, 1954 to Charlie and Lovene Jacobs.

Timothy Gade, 65, of Carmi passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 in Mt. Vernon, IL. He was born on April 6, 1960 in Wood River, IL the son of Stanley and Margaret (Brooks) Gade.

Marion Lee Haile, 73, of Mattoon, IL formerly of Bethany, passed away at 11:10 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2025 in the Odd Fellow Rebekah Home in Mattoon.

Robyn White of Carmi, IL died peacefully on December 22, 2025 at the Linda E White Hospice House in Evansville, IN after a lengthy illness with cancer. She was born on September 26, 1960 in Atoka, OK.

 Michael Edgar Melendez, 64, of Olney, IL passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 in Olney, IL. He was born on July 21, 1961 in Chicago, IL the son of Angelo Melendez and Claudette Faye (Burton) Akers .

David R. Brockett, a resident of Norris City, was born April 30, 1964, in Evansville, Indiana, to H. Reece and J. Marie (Walker) Brockett. He chose to end his earthly journey on December 1, 2025, following a long and courageous battle with depression and anxiety. He was sustained at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville until Thursday, December 4, 2025, when he passed away. His family is grateful that he was able to be an organ donor and, in death, give the gift of life to others.
