Officials have issued a final property assessment equalization factor for White County, according to David Harris, the Director for the Illinois Department of Revenue. The factor, typically called the “multiplier” is the method used to achieve uniform property assessments among counties. White County has been issued a 1.0000. Assessments in White County are at 33.46% of market value based on sales of properties in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Last year’s equalization was also 1.0000 for White County and is determined by comparing the price of individual properties sold over the past 3 years to the assessed value placed on those properties by the county’s Supervisor of Assessments.
