Ivy Sentenced in Edwards County Court; 5 Years Added to Run Consecutive to Current White County Jail Sentence

25-year-old Harold Artice Ivy is already behind bars serving a White County jail sentence from 2021 charges resulting in a plea deal reached earlier this year.  In that case, Ivy pled guilty to Aggravated Battery (Strangling) in return for having charges of Grooming, Indecent Solicitation, and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse dismissed.  On June 13th, Ivy was sentenced in Edwards County court to 5 years plus 4 years of mandatory supervised release.  That sentence is to be served after Ivy finishes up the White County sentence.  After a jury trial concluded on April 30th in Albion, Ivy was found guilty of Aggravated Domestic Battery, Aggravated Battery, and Domestic Battery.  Edwards County States Attorney Eric St. Ledger prosecuted.  T.J. Parrish represented Ivy as the public defender.
