A highlight of the 2025 Relay For Life of Hamilton/Wayne/White County was the presentation of a Team Excellence Award. The award was presented to Team Hodgson of Carmi in recognition of their 2024 fundraising efforts. During the 2024 Relay Season, Team Hodgson raised $18,690.
Under the leadership of Patty Hodgson, team captain, Team Hodgson has been a top-fundraising team. During the past two years, the team raised a total of $40,651 ($21,961 in 2023; and $18,690 in 2024) in their effort to bring the battle against cancer one step closer to a cure.
Team Captain, Patty Hodgson, and her daughter, Ashley Hodgson McDonald, accepted the award on behalf of their team.
