
The Carmi-White County School Board elected Brandon Barbre to fill Brent Hammell’s vacant seat after he submitted his resignation at the beginning of the month.

Additionally, the board approved resignations, employment, and volunteer appointments during the closed session, pending certification.
Resignations included MaKenze Atterberry as an Elementary Teacher, Ashley Elliot as a Junior High P.E. Aide, and Felicia Green as a Crosswalk Guard at Washington Attendance Center.
Several new personnel have been appointed to important roles. Three individuals were employed as Elementary Special Education Aides: Brittiny Bond, Amelia Santos, and Keisha Simmons. Trey Mason will be the junior high athletic director, Rachel Mcgarrh will be a High School Special Education Teacher, Devin Rankin will be a Junior High Assistant Baseball Coach, Julia Smith will be the Head Coach for the High School Girls’ Tennis team, and Jeremy Jordan will serve as the Head Coach for the High School Golf team.
Volunteers for the High School Football Coaches include Spud Egbert, Darrell Conover, Jace Carter, Cole Carter, Tyler Hoskins, and Jason Craig. Lastly, Kate Simmons will be a High School Volunteer Volleyball Coach.
