On June 6th, a complaint was filed with the Carmi Police regarding a Burglary incident, and warrants were issued for two individuals just days later.
On Wednesday afternoon, Tyler and Melanie Crayne were arrested on their outstanding White County warrants stemming from the incident on June 6th. Their charges include Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Trespass.
They were later released per the conditions of the warrants.
A little before 10 pm on Wednesday, Carmi Police pulled over an individual due to a faulty headlight.
Police were aware that the individual had an active White County warrant from January 2025. Charles Newton was arrested and taken to the White County Jail for his warrant for Driving with a Suspended License.
