White County Sheriff’s Department conducts Friday night anti-drug detail

The White County Sheriff’s Department conducted a detail on Friday night targeting the drug problem in White County.

Sheriff’s deputies conducted a search of a residence at 406 W Main Street in Crossville occupied by 28 year old Joseph Levi Jordan at 7 pm.  During that search, one bag of methamphetamine, one bag of marijuana, two sets of digital scales, numerous smoking pipes, and eight weapons including two sawed off shotguns were recovered along with cash.

jordan-levi-2-6-17Jordan was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful use of a weapon.  He is being held at the White County Jail without bond pending a court hearing.

 

Then, at 9 pm deputies conducted a search of a trailer at 2272 County Road 1125 E in Centerville occupied by 20 year old Royce Ritcheson.  There, numerous bags containing more than 200 grams of marijuana were found, along with one growing plant, numerous items of drug paraphernalia, and digital scales were found.  Sheriff Doug Maier spoke with Ritcheson on the phone, but he refused to return to the residence and has not been taken into custody at this time.  The department’s report was forwarded to States Attorney Denton Aud for charges to be filed.
