A Carmi man appeared in court via Zoom Monday morning to face charges he picked up during a traffic stop on Sunday evening. Matthew Webb, 27 of Webb Street was stopped on Maple Street at around 7:30 PM and was taken into custody after meth was found in the vehicle he was driving. Officers found a clear pipe in the vehicle that tested positive for Methamphetamine. Webb is being charged with Driving While License Suspended, Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful use of Property and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Webb is scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing on April 24th at 10 AM.
