Two sentenced in White County Court on Monday

Two men were sentenced on Monday in White County Court according to States Attorney Denton Aud.

24 year old William S. Franks of Grayville was sentenced to four and a half years in Illinois Department of Corrections custody on one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.  After incarceration, Franks will be under mandatory supervised release for two years, and Franks was ordered to pay all mandated fines, fees, costs, and assessments.  Franks was arrested following an investigation conducted by the Grayville Police Department.

28 year old Everett C. Newsome of Burnt Prairie was sentenced to three years in prison on a charge of arson in a case investigated by the White County Sheriff’s Department and the Illinois State Fire Marshall.  Newsome will be under mandatory supervised release for two years after his prison term, and was also ordered to pay all mandated fines, fees, costs, and assessments.
