In Edwards County Court on Friday, 27 year old Nathan Ellison of West Salem was charged with one count of failure to register as a sex offender and two counts of unlawful residency of a child sex offender according to States Attorney Eric St. Ledger.
According to the indictment, Ellison has three prior convictions for failing to register as a child sex offender in Richland County and Jefferson County. He is currently being held at the White County Jail on a $4000 bond.
Also on Friday, 53 year old Gerald Amerman of Bone Gap was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle in relation to a Polaris Sportsman 400 ATV. Amerman was processed at the White County Jail and was released after posting a $4000 bond.
