Two Carmi Women Arrested on Warrants

A Carmi woman is back behind bars following her arrest on a felony Failure to Appear warrant.  27-year-old Senekqua Holland was picked up after 11pm Thursday.  Holland was also arrested on a failure to appear back in July in the same case that dates back to 2022 when she was charged and found guilty for Aggravated Battery of a Peace Officer and Resisting.  The states attorney dismissed three other charges in that November 2022 case and Holland was sentenced to 30 months of probation, 50 hours of community service, ordered into treatment and originally given a 6 months stayed jail sentence.  After her arrest for failing to appear in July, a petition to revoke was issued in August and on September 30th, she was given a 5 year sentence in the Department of Corrections.  Holland was arrested at Rock Bottom.

Early Friday morning, Carmi Police arrested 40-year-old Sasha Allen on a Failure to Appear warrant.  It was about 12:30 when Allen was cuffed near her home on 3rd Street.  According to the report, officers were called to do a welfare check on her.  The original charge for Driving while License Revoked and Unlawful Use of Cannabis by a Driver were issued back in 2022 and she was given 2 years supervision.
