Two Arrested for Burglary

White County Deputies swiftly responded to a burglary at 3:45 am on September 27th at the old White County Coal property, ensuring the safety of the area.

While arriving on the scene, deputies noticed a red Chevrolet approaching the gate. Two males, Anthony Garrison and Joshua Zoph, both of Fairfield, were in the vehicle.

While running information on the individuals, deputies realized Zoph was wanted on a Saline County warrant and two Wayne County warrants. Both men were on Pre-Trial release and ankle monitors from other crimes they had committed in Wayne County.

Deputies conducted an investigation and found 80-100 pounds of heavy-duty copper wire, burglary tools, battery charger, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a box of hydraulic fittings.

Garrison and Zoph are facing charges of Possession of Burglary tools, Unlawful Use of Property, Possession of Methamphetamine, Criminal Damage to Government Supported Property over $100,000, Theft over $500, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Zoph also adds the charges of his warrants: Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver and Aggravated Domestic Battery/Strangulation.
Both men were transported to the White County Jail.
