Portions of Carmi can anticipate being without power for up to 7 hours on Wednesday. City of Carmi officials are going to be making some improvements and need to shut off power beginning around 8:30am and potentially lasting until 3:30pm on January 10th. Among the areas affected, all of Sunnybrook subdivision, the south side of Valter Drive, Lexington Avenue, and both sides of Oak Street/Highway 14 between Lexington and the transmitter site of WROY/WRUL. The outage may take the radio station down for some time as well. City leaders apology for any inconvenience.
