The 2017-2018 Lucille Batson Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to Trenton VanMatre, a freshman at Wabash Valley College.
Trenton VanMatre proudly accepts the Lucille Batson Memorial Scholarship from WVC President Dr. Matt Fowler.
The Lucille Batson Memorial Scholarship has been established to assist students pursuing an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Career and Technical Education programs. This is an award of $500 to help offset the cost of tuition. This scholarship is awarded to applicants based on high school grade point average and letter of recommendation submitted by a vocational instructor or high school counselor.
Trenton VanMatre is a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School and is the son of Chad VanMatre and Magon Karns.
After completing his work at WVC, Trenton plans to pursue a degree in Engineering.
