
During a traffic stop late Saturday night, 35-year-old Janae Keller was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended and Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle by a Driver. Keller was also cited for the Operation of a Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration due to mandatory insurance. Keller was released on a Notice to Appear.
Around 7:00 pm on Sunday, Carmi Police responded to a residence on Illinois Street regarding a loose dog chasing children. One of the children was injured by the dog, which was taken away by the City of Carmi Animal Control.
During the situation, police arrested 19-year-old Randy Morris for an active White County arrest warrant. The warrant is for Unlawful Failure to Register as a Sex Offender (Place of Employment). Morris was detained in the White County Jail.
Memorial Day saw one individual arrested after a male called the Carmi Police, stating that a woman was trespassing on his property and causing a disturbance by yelling and calling him vulgar names.
Angela Castleberry was arrested for Criminal Trespass to Real Property and Disorderly Conduct. Castleberry was taken to the White County Jail and later released on a Notice to Appear.
