Seven Individuals Arrested Over the Weekend

On Friday morning, Carmi Police conducted a speed radar at Carmi High School when officers observed a black vehicle speeding in the school zone.

A traffic stop was made, and a probable cause search ensued on the car, where cannabis was found not in a secure and odorless container. 29-year-old Tamberlynn Capps was placed under arrest for Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle. She was transported to the White County Jail and later given a Notice to Appear.

Later on Friday night, Carmi Police officers swiftly responded to a call regarding an active domestic dispute. Bryce Davis was arrested for Domestic Battery and Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer. Davis was promptly booked and detained at the White County Jail.

Saturday morning also contained a call about a physical altercation. A caller stated they had been locked out of their house and needed assistance from the Carmi Police. Once there, an investigation was started, and it turned out there had been a physical quarrel between two individuals.

Lillyane Mobley and Marcus Grover were both arrested for Domestic Battery and will be kept at the White County Jail until they can see a judge.

A little after 4 p.m. on Saturday, the Carmi Police made an arrest in front of Hucks. A male had stopped at the gas station in Enfield and failed to pay for the gas. Jose Damacio-Pineda was arrested for Driving While his License was Suspended. Jose was taken to the White County Jail, later issued a citation, and released.

33-year-old Alexandra Chamberlain was arrested during a traffic stop on Saturday night for Driving While her License Suspended. Chamberlain was later released on a Notice to Appear.

In the wee hours of Sunday morning, the Carmi Police made one last arrest for the weekend.

Shane Workman was placed under arrest and taken to the White County Jail for Domestic Battery and Criminal Damage to Property.
