The Carmi-White County boys basketball team defeated Sesser-Valier last night by a final score of 59-30 at the DuQuoin Tip-Off Classic.
The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Gavin Holloman who scored 22 points.
Landon Driscoll scored 14.
Mitchel Edwards scored 10.
Trey Dixon scored 5.
Kade Stockton scored 4.
Macen Haywood and Hayden Sauls both scored 2.
The Bulldogs improve to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the DuQuoin Tip-Off Classic. Carmi will play Herrin on Friday night. The winner of Friday’s game will advance to Saturday’s championship game.
The Carmi-White County girls basketball also won last night, they defeated Hamilton County 57-43. Carmi trailed 19-11 after the first quarter, but took a 9 point lead at halftime and never looked back. The Lady Bulldogs improve to 5-1 on the season, they will travel to Eldorado tomorrow.
The Bulldogs wrestling team will host Mt. Carmel tonight at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium for their first home match of the season.
