Local Sports Recap – November 21, 2022

The Black Diamond Conference announced the 2022 Football All-Conference team. Isaac King was named BDC MVP. Draxtyn Aud was named Defensive MVP. Chase Pringle and Gavin Peyton were named to the first team on the offensive line, Bryson Moore was first team defensive line. Tyler Goemaat was named to the first team as a defensive back. Nelson Rider was named to the 2nd team offensive line, and Caleb Siebers was 2nd team as a defensive back. Austin Owen and Andrew Dodgson were named all-conference honorable mentions. Congratulations to all the Bulldogs who were named to the Black Diamond Conference All-Conference Team.

The Johnston City Indians had their season come to an end on Saturday in the IHSA 2A Semifinals as they fell to Decatur St. Teresa 39-15. All of the state championship games for Illinois are now set as they will take place on Friday and Saturday in Champaign.

Tonight the Carmi-White County Lady Bulldogs will take on the Eldorado Lady Eagles in their first matchup in this year’s Harrisburg Preview Tournament. You can listen to that game live on 97.3 FM WRUL and online at WRUL.com. The Lady Bulldogs are 0-2 on the young season, Eldorado is 1-1. Tip-off is set for 7:30.

Both the CWC boys and the girls Jr. High basketball teams will take on Harrisburg tonight, the boys will be at home and the girls will be at Harrisburg. 

The Carmi-White County Boys basketball team will begin their season tomorrow night when they host the Gallatin County Hawks. You can listen to that game live on 97.3 FM WRUL and watch live on the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel.
