At the Carmi-White County unit 5 school board meeting Monday night, the board approved the resignation of Clinton Wolff as CWCHS girls basketball head coach.

Wolff took over as the Lady Bulldogs’ skipper in 2018. He spent four years coaching 6th grade boys basketball before joining his brother’s coaching staff as the CWC boys freshman coach in 2015.

Wolff resigns with a career record of 71-98 in six seasons.

There was also a coaching hire made, as Travis Black was named CWC Junior High Baseball head coach. Black spent last season as an assistant, and has also been an assistant on Justin Simmons’s coaching staff at the high school level the past two seasons.

The Carmi-White County baseball and softball teams will travel to Benton tomorrow afternoon to face the Rangers and Rangerettes.

The Bulldogs are currently 6-0, while the Lady Bulldogs are 2-2.
