IRPB Bringing Oil Focus to Carmi on Eve of Corn Day

Corn won’t be the only Carmi export celebrated this week.  The Second Annual Illinois Basin Celebration will be hosted in Carmi on Friday from 9am – 4pm at the 404 Seed Station.  Illinois Petroleum Resources Board Director Seth Whitehead says he expects more than 200 oil exploration and production industry professionals to descend on Carmi for the event.  In addition to a complimentary lunch, attendees will witness a presentation from Kansas Strong executive director Warren Martin.  Carmi White County and Pope County ag students will also be privy to a Petro Pros presentation that morning.  Petro Pros provides educators a direct link to Illinois Basin oil and natural gas industry professionals.  Learn more about the Illinois Petroleum Resources Board at http://www.iprb.org.

Proud of our “Oil People” of White County, without them our economy would not be as prosperous. So thankfull we have an accommodation (404 Seed)that will host this
adventure of learning. Great that young people are getting an opportunity to see into the future of Oil. Illinois Basin.Oil is very important to White Co and the U.S.A.,
support it every way you can.
