Indiana State Police K-9, Andy, Dies Overnight after 8 Years of Dedicated Service

Master Trooper Kevin Waters reported his K-9 partner, Andy, died last night after becoming ill. Andy was rushed to his veterinary where he died during emergency surgery. Master Trooper Waters and Andy started working together in June 2008 and they worked side by side until his death. Andy even went through training just yesterday scoring a perfect 100% on searching for narcotics. Andy is credited with hundreds of narcotic seizures and multiple criminal apprehensions. During his eight years of dedicated service Andy was always keeping a watchful eye over his partner and other law enforcement officers during intense situations.  “Andy was a great partner and I will never stop missing him,” said Trooper Waters.
