Relay For Life of Hamilton/White/Wayne Counties recently hosted a brunch in honor of cancer survivors. The event was held at the Christian Chapel Church in McLeansboro. “We love sharing this special event with those who are special to us, our survivors,” said Janice Crow, RFL Survivor Co-Chair.”
In conjunction with this year’s Relay theme, “There’s No Place Like Hope,” the room was decorated with a “yellow brick road” theme.
An inspirational program on her cancer journey was presented by Lovella Craddock, a 47-year cancer survivor. As a Relay supporter for 30+ years, Lovella noted, “There can never be enough research done to battle this disease, so I’m willing to do whatever I can to help the cause.”
“We were blessed with a large crowd, a delicious meal, an inspiring program, and a beautiful day,” added Sandy Burke, RFL Survivor Co-Chair.
The 2025 Relay For Life will take place on Saturday, June 7, at the Carlton Center in McLeansboro.
