Grayville Commissioners Meeting Tonight

Grayville Council Meeting Monday

Well, there is already a remarkable contrast between Grayville’s new Mayor Thompson and the former Mayor Bisch, as the last two city council meeting agendas have been two to three time fuller than any Bisch agenda.

That’s not to say Bisch didn’t take care of business, it’s just saying the last two meetings with the new mayor at the helm has saw agendas with close to 20 items to be covered. The meeting agenda for Monday, June 10 list 19 items that will be covered. And that doesn’t include an executive session to discuss employment in the police department and for the Groff Library.

The 19 items on the agenda include credit/debit card fees; a TIF developer’s agreement, a zoning ordinance amendment, sale of equipment, removal of a park shelter, the purchase of an E-mail utility billing module, a clean uniform contract, sale of excess real estate, a GCAA Arts camp request for a donation; tourism bureau participation, a request to block North Street for a POW/MIA fundraiser, Grayville Days parade resolution, the purchase of a mini excavator, water rates and meter fees, an amendment to the animal control ordinance, a lift station maintenance agreement and a review of the golf cart ordinance.

Along with those items, the meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. will include reports from the police chief, city attorney, mayor and the commissioners.

The Grayville Council normally meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month. The meetings are open to the public.
