Grayville City Council preps for meeting with employees

The Grayville City Council quickly wrapped up business at their second monthly meeting Monday night.  The first two items on the agenda, amendments to the liquor ordinance and the purchase of a new police vehicle were tabled for the first meeting in June.

The Council unanimously approved a developer’s agreement with Diamond Car Wash, Inc. and an application by the American Legion to solicit donations on Friday for Poppy Day.

In the Utility Department report, cleanup continues at the demolished park shelter, and several other improvement projects around the city continue in spite of the rain.  The pool is in the process of being readied for the upcoming season.

It was announced that Season’s Grill will begin operation as a Mexican restaurant after June 1st.

A special meeting with city employees and the Council will take place on Friday at 10:30am.

The meeting adjourned at 7:11pm and the Council will next meet on June 13 at 7pm.
