19-year-old Kirstin Thompson was arrested by Carmi Police and given a handful of charges.
Thompson was arrested outside of McDonald’s after she was observed with illegal drug items in her possession. At first Thompson told police her name was Allison Riley, along with a false date of birth and address. She was later fingerprinted and the correct ID was determined and showed police that she had Felony warrants out of Indiana for Possession of Methamphetamine and Providing False Identification.
Thompson was additionally charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Use of Property, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Obstructing Justice.
The Posey County warrant consists of a $3,000 bond.

Statistically, most people do have a relative or know someone who has this affliction. There is no doubt someone has thought the same thing or worse then “get this garbage out of our town”.
This particular piece of “garbage” as you like to call her, is only 19 years old and has so much potential to heal if given the opportunity, and if she takes it as well.
She’s hardly garbage. Your comment says more about the kind of person you are and actually makes this young lady look like a better person than you will ever be. Who are you to judge anyone?

Wake up she is 19 and a junkie it looks like this isn’t something new to this family. I was once a junkie and until she wants change you let her deal with it trust me.

Maybe it will be YOUR child , or your grandchild who becomes an addict! God forbid that ever happens. She’s NOT trash, you need to take a look in the mirror because YOU are what’s wrong with the world today! You hide behind your fake names on here and put people down to make yourselves feel better about your miserable lives! I’m not saying what she’s done is ok!!!! But I still love my child and will stand beside her and try to guide her while she figures life out! I was EXTREMELY relieved she got arrested! I had actually tried to turn her in myself because I was afraid she was going to die! So don’t pa** your judgement on me or my daughter! Maybe have a little empathy and compassion for those that struggle! Some of you are pathetic. But hey, whatever gets you through the day!

It’s possible to get clean if she wants it bad enough. Yes, it’s hard work to Recover and maintain sobriety. But, it’s possible. I’m a Mother of 2 Recovering addicts ( 1 daughter 9 years active addiction , the Other Child 5 years active addiction ) 1 is almost 4 years clean, the other 84 days ???????? Your daughter will be in my prayers.

June 22, 2024 at 9:08 amAmen, everyone needs to pray and be prayed for. Instead of being labeled as trash. She doesn’t necessarily need to go to jail but a stay at a rehabilitation center would be better.
I’m pushing 70 years old and when I was 19 I thought I knew it all, but looking back at 19 I really didn’t know anything.
Stop judging and start praying for all to find a better path in life.
