Evansville Woman Arrested after being Tailgated Wednesday Night

An Evansville woman is behind bars following a 911 call Wednesday evening.  It was just before 10pm Wednesday when the Carmi officer received a call of a silver car being tailgated down Main Street.  Law enforcement say they observed the silver car honking and observed the truck following too closely prompting a traffic stop.  Inside the truck was 57-year-old Bryan Cox of Norris City.  He was cited for having no insurance and following too closely.  The report indicates officers were then made aware the driver of the silver car, 37-year-old Myceisha Hunter had a suspended license.  Additionally, they say they smelled raw cannabis emanating from the vehicle inspiring a probable cause search which revealed cannabis and a stun gun.  Hunter was subsequently placed under arrest and is facing charges of Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle, and Driving While License Suspended.  She’s currently detained at the White County Jail.
