Egyptian Health Department Reports 5 New COVID-19 Cases Friday

The Egyptian Health Department was notified, on Friday, of 5 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County (3)
    • 1 female in her 20’s
    • 1 male in his 20’s
    • 1 male in his 60’s

 

  • Gallatin County (1)
    • 1 female in her 80’s

 

  • White County (1)
    • 1 female in her teens

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,396 lab confirmed positives, including 43 deaths, 1,271 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,664 lab-confirmed positives, including 24 deaths, 757 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 466 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 263 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

 

 

To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.

 

If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 2,598 new confirmed cases and 32 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,158,431 confirmed cases and 19,873 deaths in Illinois.
