The City of Carmi says parts of Cherry Street will be closed this weekend and should be avoided. Saturday, an area between 3rd Street and Jessup will be closed to through traffic from 8am – 10am for road repairs. On Sunday, Cherry Street will be closed between Jessup and Main Cross from 8am to 11am for the same reason. Roads approaching Cherry will also be blocked during those times.
