The Carmi Police Department will respond to complaints of fireworks use as they are received. Depending on the amount of fireworks an individual has, it could be classified as a Class A Misdemeanor, which could lead to an arrest.
Also, Carter would like to remind those celebrating with alcohol to be responsible and have a designated driver present and not drink and drive.
