27 year old Daniel R Guffey III of Carmi was sentenced to three years in prison Thursday on a charge of domestic battery according to White County States Attorney Denton Aud.
After incarceration, Guffey will be under mandatory supervised release for a period of four years. Judge Michael Valentine also ordered Guffey to pay all mandatory fines, fees, costs, and assessments.
Guffey was represented by Public Defender Brian Shinkle. The case was investigated by the Carmi Police Department.
