Grayville Man Faces Fourteen Charges

Thursday, Carmi Police conducted a traffic stop on 29-year-old James McFarland, who was handed numerous charges, with police taking him to the White County Jail.

The charges include Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Amphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Buprenorphine Hydrochloride strips), Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Use of Property, Driving While License Revoked, Fleeing and Attempting to Elude Police, Possession of Cannabis in a vehicle, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Hypodermic Needles, Possession of Ammo without a FOID card, and was cited for having No Insurance.

This is not the first time McFarland has been in trouble with the law. Earlier in May, he was arrested for a similar set of charges. McFarland maintained a not-guilty plea in that case; a Pre-Trial has been scheduled for July 7.
