Over the weekend, the Mount Vernon Police Department in Indiana arrested four individuals, with one from Eldorado.
Sunday night, an officer noticed a vehicle with no license plate light swerving and nearly hitting a curb. The officer initiated a traffic stop, and upon approaching the car, the smell of marijuana was strong.
The driver, Graysen Cochran, had slow and slurred speech along with bloodshot eyes. Cochran admitted to smoking marijuana while driving to the office upon failing a field sobriety test.
During a search of the vehicle, suspected marijuana and paraphernalia were found. Cochran was arrested and taken to the Posey County Jail along with his passenger, Lydayyea Shewmaker, who was cited for Possession of Marijuana.
Cochran faces charges of Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated Endangering, Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
