The Lions Club of Carmi held their regular weekly meeting on Tuesday, October 24th, promptly beginning at 7pm. The following is a recap of the meeting as well as important upcoming events.
The treasurer reported raising over $900 from Candy Day on Saturday the 21st. The Club voted to round to an even $1000 to donate to the Illinois Lions Club Foundation.
The Club voted to send a team of 4 to the Rotary Trivia Night this Saturday, October 28th.
The Club voted to have their own Thanksgiving dinner on Tuesday, November 14.
The Club also voted to prepare turkeys for Thanksgiving on Tuesday, November 21.
The Club will support We Love White County with a pancake breakfast on Saturday, November 4 from 7-10am. The breakfast will have all you can eat pancakes and biscuits and gravy for $5 a ticket. Tickets are available for purchase from any Lions Club member.
The Christmas dinner will be held on Tuesday, December 19.
The Lions Club of Carmi invites anyone interested in membership to join us. We meet every Tuesday evening, with dinner at 6:30pm and the meeting at 7pm. Our Lions Den address is 305 1st St.
