Albion man sentenced to 12 years on meth convictions

24 year old Justin N Rider of Albion was sentenced on Tuesday in Edwards County Court by Judge David Frankland to twelve years in Illinois Department of Corrections custody on two charges of delivery of methamphetamine.  Rider received a 12 year sentence on the first charge and a seven year term on the second, which will run concurrently.rider justin 7-13-16

The case against Rider was filed and prosecuted by States Attorney Mike Valentine following an undercover investigation by the Edwards County Sheriff’s Department and the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force.

Rider is being held at the White County Jail until his transfer to DOC.  Following his incarceration, Rider will be under mandatory court supervised release for two years.
