Warrants Land Crossville Man in Jail

A Crossville man has been arrested.The White County Sheriff’s Department arrested 54-year-old Emmit Connely on a White County warrant for two counts of Criminal Sexual Assault and one count of Criminal Sexual Abuse.A preliminary hearing is set for Connely on May 29th at 10:00am.

A 40-year-old Carmi man, David Newman Jr., was arrested during a traffic stop on April 26th for Driving While License Suspended. Newman was released on a Notice to Appear citation and was given a court date for May 28th.

Foot Chase and Warrant Lands Carmi Man in Jail

After a brief foot pursuit, Carmi Police were able to catch 31-year-old Harley Lewallen.Lewallen was wanted by authorities on a White County warrant for Aggravated Domestic Battery. Police arrested Lewallen for the warrant, along with a charge of Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer.
