
A rural Carmi man is back behind bars after Carmi Police found him driving illegally late Thursday night. It was about a quarter till 11pm when officers pulled over 30 year old Michael Wyant at Oak and Sixth. Wyant was subsequently arrested for driving while license revoked, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, possession of ammunition without a FOID card, and illegal transportation of alcohol. In April of last year, Wyant was found guilty of driving on a revoked license after his arrest a month earlier. At that time, he was given conditional discharge, fined, and sentenced to 50 hours of community service.
