Wellen Benefit
There will be a barbecue benefit for the Cole Wellen family this weekend in McLeansboro.
The family lost their home and all its contents in a fire earlier this month. The benefit is being held to help offset some of the financial burden this has placed on the Wellen family.
Barbecue, baked beans and a dessert will be available for $10. Carry-outs and delivery will be available in town only.
There will also be raffle items including a 1187 Remington 20 gauge shotgun. Purchased tickets will also benefit the family.
The special benefit will run frm 11 this Saturday morning (March 23) until 5 that afternoon at the McLeansboro Eagles, located at 211 North Jackson Street in McLeansboro.
