
Carmi Police made three arrests in the first weekend of June.
During a traffic stop on Friday evening, the Carmi Police apprehended 26-year-old Brennen Hawkins, who was found to be involved in a series of serious offenses. These included Possession of Methamphetamine 15-100 grams, Participation in Meth Manufacturing, Meth Manufacturing Material, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful use of Property, Unlawful Use of Weapon, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle by a Driver.
Not only is Hawkins facing six felony charges and two misdemeanors, but he has also received citations for Operating a Vehicle with Suspended Registration and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.
Hawkins is being detained at the White County Jail until he can see a judge.
Late Saturday night, Carmi Police arrested Emily Lewallen during a traffic stop for Possession of Adult Cannabis in a Vehicle by a Passenger and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol by a Passenger.
A White County warrant was the start of the last arrest from Carmi Police this weekend. The warrant was issued due to Derek OGuinn’s Failure to Appear for a charge of Unlawful Possession of Cannabis by a Driver.
Police witnessed Derek OGuinn as a passenger in a vehicle on Sunday night. With the warrant, OGuinn was arrested, but unfortunately, the Police also charged him with Possession of Cannabis in a Vehicle by a Passenger and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol by a Passenger.
OGuinn will be detained at the White County Jail until his First Appearance on Monday at 9 am.
