Carmi Police arrested three individuals over the Fourth of July weekend.
On July 4th, a little after noon, Ashley Ricketts was apprehended by the Carmi Police and taken back to the White County Jail. Ricketts had an active warrant from White County for a charge of Retail Theft, which occurred in May. A First Appearance was set for July 30th at 9 am.
Also on the Fourth of July, Carmi Police conducted a traffic stop on 18-year-old Addison Wilder.
The officer knew Wilder had a Suspended Illinois Driver’s License, and after confirming that with Wilder, she was arrested.
The officer took Wilder to the White County Jail, where she received citations for Driving on a Suspended License, Failing to Notify the SOS of an Address Change, and a city ordinance violation for Possession of an Alternative Nicotine Device under 21.
Wilder was later released.
Saturday, Grayville resident Justin Rhodes was stopped by the Carmi Police for one taillight out and no registration light.
Rhodes was arrested for Driving While His License Was Suspended; he was also cited for operating an Uninsured Vehicle.
