WCRC Golf Scramble a Huge Success

Hamilton Memorial Hospital received first place, their team included: Chad Link, Jim Bowling, Scott Ingram and Mike Kerans.

On September 16, Wabash Christian Retirement Center (WCRC) conducted their annual Golf Scramble at Carmi Country Club. There were 15 teams who participated this year.

This year’s first place winners was Hamilton Memorial Hospital – Mike Kerans, Jim Bowling, Chad Link and Scott Ingran. Second place winners were Norris City United Methodist Church Early Risers – Jack Johnson, David Spence, Joe Skaggs and Darrell Trout. Third place finished with a tie between First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust – Grant Gee, Andy Acord, Charlie Hale and Bill Garrison; and the team of Jerry Rice, Roger Hobbs, Dick Miller and Tom Hosman.

Other awards were given to the Longest Putt – Rob Mason; Closest to the Pin – Darrell Trout; Longest Drive Seniors – Roger Hobbs; Longest Drive Mens – Gary Prosise; Longest Drive Ladies – Sandra Bryant and the 50/50 winner was Gary Prosise.

WCRC Executive Director Sandra Bryant notes, “I would like to thank all of our sponsors and the golfers who came out to make this event a success.  We appreciate the Carmi Country Club staff for always being great to work with and the Wabash Christian Auxiliary for sponsoring the meal.  We are excited that we met our goal and the Cook and Hold Oven is on its way!” The proceeds from this year’s scramble were used to purchase a Cook & Hold Oven for the residents at WCRC.
