On Tuesday, the White County Sheriff’s Department received a call of a two-vehicle accident just North of the Omaha Intersection with severe injuries.
On Illinois Highway 1 at the County Road 300 East area, witnesses reported that a silver vehicle, later identified as being driven by Jonathan Shaw, was traveling South when he crossed the center line and drove into oncoming traffic, where he struck a Wayne White truck driven by Nathan Coston.
Shaw was flown by helicopter to Evansville, while Coston denied medical attention at the scene.
