Local Woman Jailed on DUI Following Wednesday Morning Accident

A Wednesday morning accident has landed a local woman behind bars.  White County Sheriff’s authorities were called to a vehicle accident on Herald Road near County Road 825 North.  The subsequent investigation revealed an SUV driven by 65-year-old Debbie Hoskins crossed the center line and side swiped a semi-truck owned by Roark Trucking.  Following the collision, the SUV went into the ditch.  She was luckily uninjured and refused medical treatment.  The report indicates Hoskins appeared to be under the influence and a preliminary breath test on scene revealed she was driving intoxicated over three times the legal limit.  She’s been taken to the White County Jail and charged with a misdemeanor of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  The driver of the semi is also reported to be ok following the accident.
