Carmi Police Arrest Two on Battery Charges
Carmi City Police arrested two individuals on battery charges Tuesday, however it was not clear if the two incidents were related.
Tuesday afternoon, 46 year old Jeffery Churchwell, 205 and half Sixth Street was arrested on a charge of domestic battery.
Churchwell was arrested around 12:30, details of the incident were not reported by City Police.
Tuesday evening around 7:30, local police arrested Jeremy Scott Allen, 40, 225 N. Main Cross Street, Carmi on a charge of aggravated battery. Allen was arrested at the Third Street Laundry following an altercation on laundry property.
Local authorities arrested a Carmi man shortly before 9:30 Tuesday morning for driving on a revoked license.
Harley J. Lewallen, 46, 718 Burrell Street, posted $150 bond and a $20 booking fee prior to his release from custody.
