Three More Positive COVID-19 Tests Monday in Southeastern Illinois

Egyptian Health Department was notified on August 10, 2020, of three Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County
    • a female, in her 40’s, at home and in isolation

 

  • White County
    • a female, in her 40’s, case status in progress
    • a male, in his 70’s, at home and in isolation

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 132 lab confirmed positives, including 2 deaths, White County has had a total of 74 lab-confirmed positives, and Gallatin County has a total of 52 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 2 deaths. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

As cases increase, the number of close contacts increases for individuals who need to be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days. Please maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.

If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results.Help stop the spread of COVID-19 in your community.

IDPH announced that Illinois had 1,382 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 5 additional deaths. Bringing the total to 194,080 confirmed cases and 7,636 deaths in Illinois.

Wash your hands frequently. Wear a face covering if you have to go out. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces. Remain 6 feet apart from others.
