It looks like the remaining installation of the street lighting with will have to be done by the village itself, as they have been unable to get much help from Ameren. As far as the 20 acres behind the park are concerned, there was a lengthy discussion on whether the village should accept the only bid of $60,000, with the hang up being whether to keep some of the mineral rights. Village Attorney Jonathan Turpin recommended advertising for and accepting sealed bids, which would be opened at the next meeting. But since the board couldn’t come to a decision on the mineral rights, the matter was tabled, possibly to be brought up at next month’s meeting.
Work is still being done on the Park Grant, which would be used to make repairs and improvements at the park.

And the board received an application to place a double-wide trailer on 409 East North Street. They still need to know the year of the model and a picture of the trailer for next month’s meeting before the application can be approved.
